Urban Impressions~Loose Pen & Watercolor Sketching

Get $10 OFF with code WORKSHOP10 if you purchase 2 or more tickets!

Saturday, February 28th, from 2-4PM @ Midway Art Studios.

From pen to pigment—sketch a place that tells your story.

Join Sierra Morgan of Arreis Artwork for a relaxed, beginner-friendly watercolor workshop focused on capturing places that hold personal meaning—your home, a favorite travel destination, a building from your hometown, or a memory you want to preserve.

You’ll begin by sketching our scene with waterproof pen, keeping the drawing loose and expressive, then layer in gestural watercolor washes to suggest light, movement, and mood. The piece is finished with white gel pen highlights for final details.

This workshop emphasizes suggestion over detail—you’ll learn how to simplify complex scenes and let watercolor do the work, rather than aiming for perfection

Worried about the drawing part?

You’re encouraged to do your own sketching, but if you’re feeling nervous, Sierra is happy to provide a very light pencil sketch to help you get started. This option will be noted when you register.

What’s included?
